International Dance Festival 2008
Tribute to Her Royal Highness Princess Ganyani Vadhana
International Dance Day Festival is now International Dance Festival. Why? Well, it’s just too big now to confine to a single day. So the 2008 edition, bigger and better than ever, will take place from 28 th -30 th March at Benjasiri Park and CentralWorld. Here are some of the highlights to be expected.

Ido Tadmor , lead dancer / choreographer / movie actor / Israeli pop idol whose dancing is his instrument of expression from Israel, will be bringing his special dance production. This is such a rare opportunity for Thai audience to see his work. |

| Emmy di Gioia , choreographer at the Savio Theatre in Palermo Italy, is coming to Bangkok with a tribute to Italian opera singers, “DANCING WITH “BIG LUCIANO”, music by Luciano Pavarotti. |

Hoon La Korn Lek: Thai Puppet Show will bring “Ramakien”, Thailand's national epic . The story about human”Phra Ram” with monkey army against an army of the great giant “ Tosakan ”. Let’s see how amazing they present the story through beautiful small puppet!!

nATANDA Dance Theatre from Sri Lanka will bring the combining traditional and modern, innovative modes of expression, and modern dance production specially for this festival. |

“The Company of Performing Artists” Thailand and Metropolitan Opera of Bangkok will produce a new version of “Romeo & Juliet”. There will also be another chance to see Daniel Hayward’s “trio in silk” made for the Edvard Grieg centenary concert and Oriental Dance by Nicoliana.
Of course, there will be much more. Expect countless workshops, art markets and master-classes. Chilean folk dance, Sri Lankan martial arts, recycled art and of course the Young Choreographer’s Showcase for developing Thai artists. It will be a blast so don’t miss it!
