Who We Are:
- friends-of-the-Arts (a self-supporting non-profit entity) charitably nurtures and excites interest in performing arts among all young Thais throughout the Kingdom.
- Throughout the year the foundation stages performances to raise funds and to encourage the young Thai talented students to perform in a professional environment: (using state-of-the-art sound, lighting and stage props).
- Part of proceeds from the friends-of-the-Arts annual performances are donated to charitable organizations who work towards the well-being of children, family and community in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Objectives
- to promote the exchange of local & international arts and culture among children and youth in Thailand.
- to gather/mobilize every part in our society i.e. Private Sector, Government Sector and Individuals who have the same philosophy to join hands together and use each party asset such as profession, talent, know-how, man power, or event financial support to organize charitable performances through out the year.
- to raise funds to support charitable works in Thailand focusing on the promotion of the well-being of children, youth and family in Thailand.
- to support, stimulate and create a future new artists among Thai youth, especially in a disadvantaged group who are talented in Performing Arts.

How we operate?
- funding is raised from staging dance performances (contemporary dance-theatre-pieces, as well as classical ballet productions)
- seed money is provided by the Sponsorship Program (supported by public corporate: non-government: media organisations as well as individual sponsorship)
- achieves its misssion by aiding organisations such as “The Company of Performing Arts” Thailand: this countries first contemporary dance-threatre-company.
- proceeds are then returned to helping performing arts programs and in particular young artists: creating opportunities for deserving talented individuals to pursue their goals in the performing arts (see: Scholarship Program)
Programs Under friends-of-the-Arts foundation:
- Movement Therapy Program: this is in collaboration with: UNICEF, Raks Thai Foundation (CARE): Human Development Foundation (Mercy Home): Dance Centre school of performing arts:
- Scholarship Program: Nurture young talented performers and choreographers (the "friends-of-the-Arts" support this program in collaboration with Dance Centre school of performing arts)
- Visiting Artist Program: (those artist that contribute to the "friends-of-the-Arts" mission).
Benefactors:
- young talented performing artists: The idea is to give the student the opportunity to experience a real situation by performing in a professionally staged dance production alongside seasoned professionals. The objective is to give confidence to the students and also raising funds to help the less fortunate in our society. This year the directors have selected a special project to raise funds to support UNICEF in helping disadvantaged children in Thailand.

The friends-of-the-Arts foundation Directors: Vararom Pachimsawat
Dip. T.T.C.R.B.S. : A.R.A.D.: A.I.S.T.D.
Graduated from the Royal Ballet School ( London UK ) 1980: Khun Vararom was the first Thai national ballet dancer to perform with international dance companies. Founder/Director of Dance Centre school of performing arts in 1985, where she is the artistic director and still teaches. Co-founder of “The Company of Performing Artists” Thailand (a dance-company that draws upon various dance disciplines (Classical: Traditional; Folk: Bhutto: Contemporary dance) to create original work. She has choreographed and staged such memorable production as “Manohra” and “Kaki”. She was a guest dancer and shared the stage with Marcia Haydee and Ishmael Ivo in “The Tempest”.
